This is me (on the right) and my old roommate in Indy, Kippany!
So much has happened since I last wrote. To start off, I went to Indy and everything went pretty well. I was helping
clean rooms and preparing food. Everything was pretty normal ( as much as normal gets). I was in the hall one afternoon, talking
to a friend of mine when Mr. Gothard came up to me and was asking me questions about myself. After a few minutes he asked
me to go into his office with him. We sat down and he asked me if I would be interested in conseling some girls (8-10 of them
ages 10-17) that were taken out of their homes becasue of abuse. I said that I would love to do that. He told me that I would
be able to get my bachelor's degree in counseling and also be traveling the country with them. I thought that that would be
awesome. I didn't know that he would actually consider me doing something like that. He then asked me to write out my testimony
and give it to him so that he could know a little more about my background. Once he read it, he wanted me share it at the
conference. I said that I would be okay with that. So, in all, I shared my story with about 1000 people and 5 times. So many
teens were touched my it. There is no feeling like the one that I felt when kids came up to me and said that they got something
out of my story. That they felt God speak to them through me. It's awesome knowing I am helping change someone's life. Praise
God!!!
Welp, now I am not coming home for a while. I am here at Head Quarters (Oak Brooks, Illinois) receiving training. I will
be on the road with the girls hopefully by October if not earlier.
So, that is what has been going on lately. I need to go, but i will inform you as things happen. Kelly Ibarra
